Daniel Beatty Biography

From the West Coast to the East Coast, up into Canada and in his own backyard, international presenter Dr. Daniel Beatty (Dr. Dan) has been on a quest for the past 12 years to find the best of the best horse & dog health information. Recently he has been using the vastness of the internet to teach dog and horse lovers how to better care for their companions, along with teleseminars, and professional speaking engagements.

Daniel Beatty grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago to a lower middle class family of 6. Lets skip the third person garbage you know who is writing this... I had 2 brothers and a sister, both my parents worked to make ends meet and since I was the oldest I got to babysit my younger siblings after school. I graduated from Lincoln-Way High School and went to Joliet Junior College for two years before I applied to the University of Illinois in Champaign. I finished 6 more years of school there 2 in animal science before making it into veterinary school, which was the other 4 years, graduating with a doctor of veterinary medicine degree in 1996.

Right after vet school I worked as a large animal veterinarian with farm animals as well as horses. I also immediately went back to school at the Options for Animals Course to learn animal chiropractics. The rest of the story seems like a blur. I have worked with companies such as Prestige Saddlery and Schleese Saddlery, the nurition company Advanced Biological Concepts, and have worked side by side with Dino Frettard, equine bodyworker. I have helped and learned from a couple of the best equine dentists in the country - Spencer LeFleur and Lance Rubin. I was at the founding meeting of the International Allaince for Animal therapy and Healing in which I spent time with some of the biggest names in holistic animal therapies - such as Linda Tellington-Jones, Mimi Porter, Mary Ann Simonds, and others.

My clients have big names as well - In the Saddlebred World I have worked with the Durants at Bellview Acres, in the Tennesse Walking Horse world I have and still do work with Cathy Stoops, in Dressage Jerry Schwartz, In Sport Horses Tori Hollis and Bobbie Josephs, in Arabians and Saddle Seat Arabian Knights Farm and Lori Foster. In the dog agility world I have worked with and still do some equally large names such as Dana Pike, Sherry Kluever and Kelly Garver.

So why all the name dropping in the two above paragraphs? Because if I can you can. Did you read my first paragraph - Daniel Beatty - a no one from some small suburb of Chicago who had no friends because he was a nerd, a geek and had to watch his brothers and sisters! Look who I have met, connected with, worked with and worked for! So I say again if I can you can. Also the name dropping helps to show my feelings that my biggest accomplishment has not been the big names that I have met but rather my family.

My family consists of my wife and 4 beautiful children. I have three boys and a baby girl that I am very proud of. I have a soccer player and brainiac (he is taking after me) and a swimmer who has a personality and talents beyond my comprehension and these are just the two that are old enough to go to school, I can't wait to see what comes next out of the other two. Life is so much different when you are living vicariously through your children. They are my biggest accomplishment and blow away all the names I could drop .
